fun times

so this week has been pretty uneventful, thankfully! my mom and dad get back this friday from their cruise. i just talked to them and they are having the time of their lives!! i'm so glad they got to do this! anyway, while they've been gone we have been doing some fun things. on tuesday night (technically wed. morning) we went and saw harry potter. it was... interesting. i absolutely love the books, but i the movies are just ok. they did pretty good i guess, especially since it was such a long book, but they just skipped sooooo much. oh well, i did like it.
well a few weeks ago nathaneil and all my brothers went to see transformers. they talked about it so much, that arik decided he needed to go see it too. so on thursday night we went to the drive-in and saw transformers and 1408... yeah that was interesting to say the least. laynie did not do very well! she was cranky and had a stuffy nose (both her and arik are sick with colds) so she was crying for awhile until she went to bed. her carseat reclines, so we thought that would be an ok place for her to go to sleep... not!! part way thru the 2nd movie she was falling out of it! arik wasn't really enjoying the movie much and kept saying he wanted to go home. luckily he fell asleep right before transformers ended. so 1408 was supposed to be a scary movie, and it was kind of scary. but one thing that scared nick, was when laynie was falling out of her seat. i looked back, and was like "oh my gosh!" nick and nathaneil both got a little freaked thinking that i saw something! i guess you kinda had to be there, but it was really funny. well now that that story took so long, i think i'll just let ya look at pix now!!

their new swimming pool. the water was a little too cold for laynie, even tho i tried warming it up. and that yellow flower behind arik's head squirts water.

laynie eating arik's cars. she was being really funny... she kept sticking her head in the box trying to get cars out, but she was too quick for my camera

"help, i'm being attacked by munchkins"!!!

arik's old halloween froggy costume. he thinks it still fits. it doesn't! the legs of the costume were all the way up his legs

we had a neighborhood 'pioneer day' activity.

cute kids

this was their 'swing'. arik liked it, even if it was hard to hold him up for long!

taking a bite of my ice cream sandwich!! she liked it!

laynie likes her picture taken!

and another one of her crazy sleeping poses

well my little baby doll isn't so little anymore... she's decided to grow up on me all at once! she finally got her 4th tooth on the bottom, so now she's not lopsided anymore! (that's her 6th tooth all together). she's also learned that crawling is actually pretty fun! she is all over the place, and i am glad for her because she is so much happier! i mentioned before that she walks around the furniture while holding onto it. well now she goes pretty quick, when she wants to, and is a little more daring. before when she was done holding onto the furniture, she'd start crying cuz she couldn't figure out how to get down. well today at church she figured it out. she'll drop down onto her bum and then just crawl away!! she's such a cutie and i just love her to pieces!!

Hey Lacey,
Mattie's husband, Keith, was my roommate in college for 3 years, and Mattie was my wife's roommate too! Well if you're in Utah for awhile, we should get together. Solon will be out in a few weeks for our family reunion. It's good to know you are doing well!
