so i have been slacking quite a bit lately on the posting of pictures. i was just going thru them and realized how many old pix i have that i didn't post, but are pretty cute. now they won't all be in chronological order because half the time i use my camera, and the other half i use my mom's cuz it's soooooo much better! so we'll show some pix, then i'll update on all that's been going on here.

now for a little break in pix, and time for a review of our fun-filled last week...
we'll start with friday the 10th of aug... yes the day i got my wisdom teeth yanked from my jaw (which still hurts, btw) i don't really remember much of that day, just that i had gauze in my mouth, which therefore made my mouth quite dry, and taking pills was such a pain!
saturday the 11th- laynie takes her first steps! yes you heard me, my little baby ain't so little anymore! she's gone and grown up on me and is now walking, sort of (i'll explain more later). that evening we had visitors, nathaneil's sister and her husband (marcus) came and stayed the night.
sunday the 12th- we ventured out to his sister annalen's house for dinner, or me for applesauce ;-), and also had a little birthday party for her son. he just turned 3, and arik was in heaven playing with everyone. laynie also walked all the way across our front room to my mom!
we'll skip to tuesday the 14th- nathaneil decides to get this nice little stomach bug, and then laynie decides to also! luckily, she only threw up twice, and was mostly better by that evening. she was much better the next day.
wed. the 15th- Happy Birthday to Uncle Solon, or solon head from me, who turned 26 i do believe. nathaneil had to stay home from work one more day, seeings how he was still not feeling the greatest, and i was dying from pain!
skip to friday 17th- we head down to provo for a visit, and because i wanted to go to a movie, we ended up staying the night. we went to see 'Becoming Jane' which is that movie about the life of author Jane Austen. at first, i hated the movie, mostly because of the ending. i seriously came home, ranting about how stupid it was and telling everyone not to see this movie! but now i've thought about it some more, and seeings how it is based on a real life story, i've come to like it. let me re-phrase that, i love it and want to go see it again! i won't ruin anything, so all i'll say is that it is a very good love story, and they picked the best actors for it!
ok, now onto saturday 18th- now i'm sick, all day, with the stomach bug! and it gets better, i get to drive home from provo, with laynie, while being sick. don't worry, we made it home safely!
sunday 19th- was stake conference for us, thank goodness. i was still not feeling the greatest and all the while, my teeth are still killing me! i almost feel like i'm living on advil and motrin! oh yes, and laynie decided to get this really nasty cough and cold, so we're just having bunches of fun!! and now i'm getting it...ugh
monday 20th- still hurting, but dealing with it. although when i say dealing with it, i mean still taking meds and eating nothing solid! i'm living on instant breakfast drinks for breakfast, applesauce pudding and yogurt gets me thru the rest of the day. one good thing has come from this... i've lost like 5-8 lbs and most of my baby pudge has dissappeared!! yay!
ok, now back to a few pictures...
last wednesday, i believe, we had a friend come over for a little while.

and now, i know you're probably sick of this, but just a quick little update on the cute things laynie is doing.
*she loves to point. at you, at the window, at anything, just loves doing it.
*she loves to clap, especially at herself. but also along with people in the movies! (than was watching harry potter, and they started to clap so she did too!)
*pillows, everytime she sees one, she has to go lay down on it. it's too cute
*teeth- she finally got one of her top front teeth! i think she'll get the other one any day now.
*11 months on this sunday!
*she likes books (the board ones are the only ones she can play with tho!!)
*she tries to put lids back on boxes, such as a shoe box.
*she tries to put things back. she'll try to put her sippy cup back on the counter, or papers back up on the computer desk, mainly places she can't reach that well! and sometimes she tries to put her toys back in her toy bin.
*she definitely knows who her daddy is. she's been saying mamama and dadada for quite some time, but now she'll look at him pointing or around for him, and say dad or dada.
*last but definitely not least, she is walking! my little baby, walking at 10 1/2 months! i can't believe how quickly she has grown up. she does really well standing, and will for about 10 seconds, then continue walking. she's learning how to catch her balance when she starts to tip a little, and she can even walk on the grass! i'll be sure to get a video on here in the near future.

OH MY GOODNESS!! Br is going to be pooh!! That is awesome. Too bad we wont get pic of them side by side! Bummer! Looks like things are going good for you! Laynie is almost a year! I cant believe it! I remember when she was born! (Well the pic of her after she was born. I was not there hehe!)
it's really quite crazy how time flies! that would be fun to have pooh bear and piglet together!
