thanksgiving weekend

ok, i'm getting this last november post up! so our fun and crazy weekend started on wednesday the 26th. i was really sick that day, my throat was killing me and my nose was runny/stuffy. i was supposed to pick than up at work on our way up to heber, but i made him come home early on the train to help me finish getting packed up. we did the Heber Valley Railroad's Polar Express this year cuz laynie has been loving trains.
this is on our way up to heber

waiting in line to get on the train!

on the train.... waiting to go!

ky looking festive, and using his thomas the train blanket!

santa at the 'north pole'! yeah i know it's blurry, and the flash is in the way, but there wasn't any other way to get the picture!

so they told us to dress for the cold, and that we could wear pjs. so me and the kids were all in pj's and nice and toasty. well turns out that it was stifling on the train! it was a 90 minute ride, which i don't suggest doing with a 2 year old. she was climbing all over me, and there really wasn't room for her to move. so she was quite happy when the train ride was done. annalen's family came too, but they were in a different car. all there kids seemed to like it a lot, so we might try it again in a couple of years.

santa came and gave all the kids little jingle bells

happy again!

she loved the train, just not riding it for forever!

cute little family, don't you think?!

well we get to grandma and granpa wilkerson's about 11:00 wed. night. we're bringing all our junk in, when than realizes he forgot one of our bags at home. can you guess which one?... yep it was the kids bag. it had their clothes for 2 days in it, socks (they were wearing footy pj's so they didn't have socks on) and all their diapers. luckily annalen had an outfit for both ky and laynie, and we had to mooch off of her diapers for ky. yeah that part of the weekend wasn't much fun, but we dealt with it. i was still way sick, so any chance i got to take a nap, i took it. and we were all in one room with laynie's bed right next to ours, so in the night she kept climbing into bed with us. yeah that was amusing!

laynie and lissa were twinners, thanks annalen!

luckily laynie's hair stuff ended up in my bag, so i still had that stuff! oh and this is the best pic i could get of the 2 girls, laynie wouldn't cooperate, big surprise there i know!

playing in the leaves!

everyone was having a blast!

hi grandma wilkerson!

yeah then laynie got a leaf in her mouth and started choking on it. than couldn't get it out in time, so i think right after this pic she threw up! poor girl, but at least it got the leaf out!

happy now!

fun times in the leaf piles!

it's a bit blurry, but her face is just too cute in this pic!

oh and these are all the presents for the grandkids... all 33 or so of them!! we dubbed it 'the wall of presents'!

laynie had a hard time getting up from her nap, so she got to watch einstein's. jeri is to the left in the pic, and ellie is on the right... they liked einstein's too! oh and after that, we moved to the big tv to watch tinker bell. it's really a cute movie, and isn't too girly. a lot of the boys like to watch it too! (than and my bro brian both love it! ;) )

friday we went and visited amanda for a few hours, and then headed home. after naps and dinner, we went out for a christmas tree. we decided we were sick of the hassle of real trees, so we just got a fake one. marcus and amelia stayed with us that night, and saturday morning they helped us set up the tree. goofy daddy... and uncle marcus!

laynie helping daddy

ky helping mommy

look, there's a new reindeer in town!

saturday after naps, we headed down to slc to annalen's house. we had yummy soups and breadsticks, and then we went to temple square for the pretty lights. ky loved looking around for a little while, then got cranky cuz he was tired. laynie liked the lights, but she was obsessed with the water!

ky really is awake right here, he's just crying and wouldn't look towards the camera... don't you love the kids' santa hats?!

he finally gave up and crashed

2 of annalen's boys, joshua and aaron

i loved all the lights!

i tried to get all of the temple in, but i couldn't back up enough... i love this picture anyway!

another fountain... we had to stop at every single fountain because of laynie's water fetish!

i think this is one of my fav pics, just because of the reflection of the trees.

after the lights, we went back to annalen's for hot chocolate and donuts... yummy yummy! afterwards we headed back up to layton. and when i say we, i mean us, marcus and amelia, mom wilkerson, and amanda, russ and their 3 kids! so needless to say we had quite the full house! but it was tons of fun. on sunday we had french toast and sausage as kind of a birthday celebration for than's mom, and then they headed out for roosevelt. then we got ready for church, and these are the best pix we could get of laynie in her beautiful dress.

but even when she's being a goof ball, she's still a cutie!

the ky man lookin' oh so handsome

he's getting so big!

look at him standing up!

chewing on the mirror on his little playmat thing... it was really funny so i of course had to get a picture!

we got the walker out so that he would have something to sit in besides his saucer.

he was really smiley for quite awhile!

Did you get the christmas tree with the lights already on it? I could not tell. We loves ours, its so easy to put up and we dont have to mess with lights anymore.

no we didn't, unfortunately. we couldn't find one we liked with lights on it, and that was less than $100. than said he doesn't mind doing lights, especially since we got this one for $78. but we really like this one, so it's all good!
