updates!!

**i almost forgot to say (a little late but oh well) Happy Valentine's Day!! hope everybody's sweethearts spoiled them, i know mine did!!**

ok, so i know it took forever (i've been a bit busy with sick kids) but i finally finished adding explanations to the pix a few posts down! so if anyone didn't know what some of the pix were, well you can finally figure it out!

now this post is about all the silly things ky and laynie have been up to lately. i've been writing these things down so that i wouldn't forget them, and now i'm finally taking the time to post about them!

laynie:

*got her bottom 2-yr molars... it came as a shock actually! i was brushing her teeth one night, and i looked back, and there they were! her top ones still haven't come in.
*says prayers... it is sooooo cute when she says the prayer, which is pretty much everytime!
*all done with chicken pox... yes about 2 weeks ago she finally got over the pox, but she didn't really have that hard of a time with them so that was good.
*laynie's a bouncy ball... one day she was jumping around, and usually she'll say that she's a froggy- ribbit ribbit, or a bunny- hop hop. but that day she decided she was a bouncy ball!
*laynie loves to play games on the computer...we finally got her playing games online at the fisher price website. she really likes the one where you press letters on the keyboard and it tells you the name of an animal that starts with that letter. her favorite is hippopotamus, which she can say very clearly by the way!
*likes to help put dishes from dishwasher away... yes, she loves to put the forks and spoons away! when we ask her if she wants to she says "yeah! i get chair and put forks a spoons away!" she gets way excited!
*starting to sound letters out... she's really good with B and K, don't know why, but she is! she now says, ka ka ky, and ba ba bee (for bumble bee)!
*"i can't"... oh yes this one has been a fun one. there are certain books that she likes to help read, so we'll read it and then leave the last part for her to say. well lately she's been saying "i can't"! it's been so frustrating!
*"i mean it"... that's her new saying that she picked up from me! gotta love it when the 2 yr old copies you!
*"oh snap"... for some reason i love that phrase, and i think it's hilarious. well tonight ky started falling over or something, so laynie goes "oh no". daddy says it too, and then laynie said "oh snap!" she's never said it by herself before, usually i have to tell her to say, so it was awesome when she did it herself!
*"laynie wilkerson" & "aminot"... she sounds soooo adorable when she says her name! just the other day she finally said her full name, so that was cute. and she pronounces my maiden name, amiot, with an N in it - aminot! so cute

*not sleeping good... oh he is sooooo not sleeping good! some nights he'll wake up 4-5 times just needing his binky put back in! it's really annoying, but what worse is that sometimes he'll wake up screaming and we will be up for 3o mins just trying to get him back to sleep! i hate it because he should be old enough to be over this by now!
*might be getting new tooth on top... it seems like he's been trying to get a tooth up there for quite some time, but nothing yet!
*chicken pox... i think he got them, but if he did, it was a VERY mild case and went away really quickly.
*food... he's been eating oatmeal and rice cereal really well, and has had squash, peas, carrots, green beans and sweet potatoes. just the other day he had some applesauce for the first time. so far the only thing he doesn't really like are peas, but he will still eat them. oh and just today i fed him some mashed potatoes and he loved them!
*missed posting about his 6 & 7 month birthdays... yeah so i am way dumb! how could i forget to post those?! his 6 mo was on aaron's bday, and his 7 mo was jan. 23, which is the day he finally got his 6 mo check-up on! i'm gonna post pix from those days, and i'll post his 6 mo stats then too.
*he sucks his top lip in while jutting his bottom lip out- which results in a smacking noise, it's way cute when he's doing it.
*can drink out of sippy quite well... actually since i wrote this down, he has gotten really good at drinking out of sippy's and can do it by himself now! he's growing up sooooo fast!
*very very ticklish... he can be waaaay cranky, and all i have to do is lay him down and start tickling him, and he goes crazy laughing!! it's so cute, and just in the last couple of days i can hear a difference in his laugh- it's getting more mature.
*as of 1/15 he was sitting up all by himself.... he still tips over sometimes, but all in all he is doing very very good! it is so nice to be able to sit him on the floor with toys and get some stuff done! now we just need to get him scooting around or crawling so that he can be happier!
*oh and the most recent... ky decided to get stomach flu last monday night! yay, that was a ton of fun, especially because i think i had it too. needless to say, than had to stay home from work on tuesday to take care of us! i am soooooo sick of all the sicknesses going around!
