9 month stuff and updates!!

ok, so on ky's 9 month b-day i said i would come back with pictures and updates later... well it's finally later (now that he's almost 10 months!)!! i seriously don't know what took me so long, i guess i just forgot! anyway, here are some pictures of my big 9 month old!

ok, now for the stats: (now remember he's been sick a LOT)
height: 27.8 in 50%
weight: 17 lbs 10%
head:18.3 in 80%
i'm hoping he'll at least hit close to 20lbs by the time he turns 1!!

ok now for the updates. once again, i write these down when i think of them... problem is, i've probably been writing them down for about a month!! so some of these may be older, but oh well-
KY:
*loves to stand up holding onto my hands
*shakes his head when i say 'shake it' or i shake my head
*he's getting more interested in crawling (finally!) and started rocking back and forth on his hands and knees on Mar 4th.
*VERY tender hearted. we've had to start telling him no to some things (you know- boys and tubby time?!) and everytime we do he just busts up crying
*he is getting very vocal... i think half the time he just likes to hear himself! he makes all kinds of noise, just jabbering and yelling mostly. but he does say 'dada' and 'mama'... i'm not sure when he started the dada, but mama was on 3/29/2009.
*his hair is finally getting long and thick enough to be messy (i know there still isn't much there!)
*LOVES to dance, bounce, and shake it!!
*drinks out of his sippy cup all by himself - 3/31/2009
*he started waving also! its soooo cute, and he did it just in time for april fool's day! he started on the afternoon of 4/1/2009
*oh and right now his favorite thing to do is smack his lips! and he does it oh so cutely!

LAYNIE: (now i know this is mostly a ky post, but i will do laynie's updates here too)
most of laynie's updates are our conversations and her sayings
*she is now 2 1/2 year old!!
*her new favorite saying is "oh right!"
*she knows how to sound out beginning letters of words... ex: "da da D for Daddy!!"
*"i love it!" "love my spoon, love my bed, love my mommy" such a cutie!
*one day ky pulled laynie's hair. i tell him not to pull sissy's hair, and then she gives him this dirty look! it was soooo funny!
*one night when she was going to bed she says "i sleep in daddy's arms?!" she wanted daddy to hold her while she fell asleep, how cute is that?!
*"see you a hours!"
*lately when i get mad at her, she'll run to me and say "i scared" to which i'll sometimes call her a scaredy cat. well then she'll say "laynie a scaredy cat. a scared of the cat"! she can usually say it right the first time, but then after that, for some reason, it becomes scared of the cat!
*she was watching Einstein's one day, and they were playing the sounds of different instruments... Laynie could listen to the sounds and name the instruments they were playing!! she could name the trombone, trumpet, and violin, and usually the flute too.
*we were out for a walk one day and she was riding her bike. i said "laynie, we don't ride on the grass, we ride on the sidewalk" L-"oh right!" it was hilarious!
*daddy was looking thru/reading the 'Friend' with laynie one day when they saw a picture of Henry B. Eyring. she stopped and said "it's daddy!" i thought that one was pretty funny too ;)
*she's really been loving Disney movies lately, so i'm thinking i need to start buying more of them!! when we were growing up, we always had all the Disney movies, so i need to start a collection for laynie now!
*at church one day, laynie started talking to some girls in front of us. she would ask them their names, then say hers, and then say "heeeello!!" or "hello friends!"
*Laynie- "what happened?!" me- "laynie, what's wrong?" L-"baby ky gone!!" (he was sitting in his high chair but she didn't see him... she had thought he was downstairs in his carseat still, and went down to see him. he wasn't there!)
*me- "we don't throw the ball down the stairs, we could break something." L-" break baby ky, break mommy, break bottle, break piano, break daddy." me- "yes, or we could break the pictures." L- "or daddy!!" apparently daddy is fragile!! ;)
* "i slip and fall!"
* "oh wow, pretty!"
* "hey mommy, watch this!"
* "how cool's that?!"
i guess laynie has more updates than ky!!
