in my family, its tradition to wake up the birthday girl (or boy) with presents and the birthday song (just a birthday disney song). well we were trying to do that for laynie, but the stinker woke up early that day, but we still did it anyway. at first of course she had no idea what was going on... but she eventually liked it! she didn't really want to open the presents by herself tho, so the first few were opened by mommy.
after that, she had a bottle and then she hung out with daddy for a bit while i finished cleaning. well daddy finally had to go to work, so laynie and i got to play with her new stuff until she had a nap. while playing, a package was delivered for miss laynie from her nana. in it was more presents!
by now she had the hang of it and had fun ripping the paper off
she got 2 new outfits and a card from nana and a teddy bear from arik!
during her nap i started decorating her pooh bear cake and the big cake. well because i had things i had to get done, she didn't take a very long nap. luckily grandma, grandpa, cathy, and brian arrived about 30 min after she woke up! so they played with her while i finished. here is the end product... not too bad for a 1st try i suppose.

of course cathy and grandma hinckley spoiled the girl, so we opened a few presents before everyone else got there!

cake time! daddy helped her blow out her candle. she loved having everyone sing to her, she just kept looking around at everybody, it was way cute.

ok, mommy needed to step in and help cuz she wouldn't eat any!
well, all in all, we had a good day. from now on tho i need to keep my camera with me, spend more time with the birthday girl, and just enjoy life! most of these pix were from brian's camera, so thanks bri!!

A year already!! My goodness. Br cant get old I'm not ready for him to be 1. She is getting so big!I cant believe how cute she is!!
