sorry i haven't gotten around to posting the april fool's day answer... we've been busy and i haven't been feeling well lately. i'm wondering if my meds aren't working anymore or what, but i don't like it! anyway, i'm going to do a little commenting on each of the options, so look for the bold...

*Laynie can wash her hands by herself... of course we hold her up, but yes she can do it alone.
*Laynie can read... she reads a ton of letters these days, but her favorites are "O" and "Y". oh and i swear she can read the word 'baby' but who knows.
*Laynie says "please" and "thank you"... ok this is where she's gonna make a bit of a liar out of me. this was supposed to be the lie, but she decided to say please (or something like it) that very evening! she's a little booger, cuz she hasn't done it since. so, i'm still gonna say that no, she doesn't say those words.
*Laynie climbs onto the table about once a day... this one i suppose could be taken as a fib, cuz i WON'T let her get all the way onto the table. but she can definitely do it, all by herself!! she's done it quite a few times before we could get to her. and we were at a family get-together at than's brother's house, and somehow without us seeing, she climbed up onto a chair then onto the table, and was standing up there before we figured it out! she's quite the monkey.

so now you have the answer, and i guess i kinda cheated... if you really wanted to, you could say a couple had a bit of a fib in them, but oh well! i will be posting again soon, hopefully! i have tons of pix, and i suppose i should do a bit of a pregnancy update, even if there's not much to tell. so until next time!...
