hospital pictures

well here are some more pictures for you all to enjoy. i guess i should probably tell a little about the hospital experience. well i went to the dr at 2:30 that day, and he checked me and said that i was almost 3 cm dilated. so he went to call the hospital to see if they had room/time to do the c-section that evening. he came back and said they did, so i needed to go home, get my stuff and my husband, and head to the hospital as quick as i could. well of course it took me forever because i didn't have anything ready! well we finally get to the hospital, and they send than to do the admitting stuff, while they start hooking me up to the monitors and such. we got there around 4:40 i think, and i spent most of the time until ky was born just lying uncomfortably on the bed. they finally come in and start getting me ready for the c-section, and then wheel me into the OR, where they give me the epidural. they called it a spinal, and man that stuff works fast! he said he was finished, and they wanted me to try and lie back down, but my legs were already going numb! anyway, i was starting to feel really nauseous, so he gave me some meds in my IV for that and it helped a ton! i didn't throw up once, which seems miraculous to me since i threw up soooo much with laynie. anyway, the actual getting-the-baby-out part didn't take very long at all so that was good. the stitching up part took a while, but i just kinda dozed during that part. after that they wheeled me back to my room to recover for a bit. last time with laynie, i wasn't really awake for anything, so it was nice to be able to actually experience it this time. nathaneil came back, but said they were keeping ky for a little bit longer cuz his breathing wasn't quite right yet, but that he was doing good. i was so tired and drugged up that i just laid there and kind of talked to my mom and grandma. then nathaneil brought little ky to me! he is soooo precious, but seems so small!

well i was still so tired and not fully trusting my arms, so daddy got to give him his first feeding. he did fairly well.

later that night, annalen and grandma wilkerson came for a visit. they brought tons of stuff for us! they brought an outfit for ky, and some things for laynie so that she wouldn't feel left out!



the next day my mom brought arik and laynie to visit. well laynie was quite the stinker! the balloons were much more fun, but she did point out the baby in the room!

this was the next day when they came to visit again. she didn't want to 'hold' ky, so this is the best pic we could get, just mommy and laynie. please excuse the fact that my nightgown wasn't pulled down far enough!

after that, the curtain was the only thing she wanted to pay attention to!

oh and our neighbors came for a visit also. it was fun, and brooklyn loved baby ky!

the rest of the hospital stay was ok i suppose. it was a hospital, so of course the nurses were in and out all night, for both me and ky. and ky was quite the stinker about eating. for the first day, i couldn't hardly get him to eat. he slept all day and pretty much all night, and trying to wake him up was almost impossible. luckily, the night before we left, he finally started doing better! he is now on somewhat of a feeding schedule, but still likes to sleep all the time so last night was not much fun. and i am still way sore, so i am so grateful for nathaneil and my mom both being here! i definitely would not be able to handle it without them. than will be going back to work on tuesday, and ky has his first dr appt on monday! ok this post is way too long, so enough for now!
