stuff, stuff, & more stuff

okey dokey... so i have tons to post about, so here's to remembering it all! well our august so far has been pretty hectic, at least that's how it feels. saturday the 2nd was spent in slc. annalen's son was getting baptized, followed by her other son's blessing. then we went to her house for a luncheon thing, and also a little b-day party for her daughter (she turned 2 the next day!). so needless to say, that was one busy day.

well then we got to go home and get ready for our big day! Malachi was blessed the next day August 3rd, and we also had a lunch at our house. yeah that was amusing! i thought we had a pretty decent sized house, but trying to cram all those people into it, and i realized it doesn't seem so big!
that was only 3/4 of everyone there, but there were more upstairs too!

well tuesday night (the 5th) my mom and arik headed down to provo for one last weekend. wednesday morning, laynie wakes up not feeling the greatest. i had just started feeding ky, when blaah, she throws up all over the couch. yes i'm by myself, trying to feed a newborn while trying to console my not-quite 2 yr old as she's spewing. i felt so bad for her! so i call than, but he can't come home cuz he's started car-pooling. well i tell him that it's not necessary to take the train... yet. then she threw up again. so i called him back and told him to get on the train as soon as he could. well thursday we were planning on going out to roosevelt for his family reunion, but now we weren't sure cuz she was sick.

thursday comes and she's doing better, not compelety over it, but we decide to head out there anyway. i'm glad we did, but it was hard with a baby! everything was dirty, and it was hard to keep my hands feeling clean enough to feed ky. but laynie had fun! she got to ride a horsey and a boat, and get filthy in the dirt and sand! we stayed in a cabin, but the cabins there are gross. i didn't want laynie on the bed in there, so we set up a one-man tent and she got to sleep in there all by her self!
