the rest of the story

so, picking up where i left off, my family reunion in provo. we decided that since my grandpa was in charge we would head down there. it was so stinkin' hot, but we managed there for a few hours! as you can see in the pix, laynie's favorite part was the train! she loved it!

the cousins from montana stopping in for a visit. the girl holding ky actually had a battle with cancer, but she's beating it! she's doing so good, go aimee!!

anyway, saturday night we headed back up to layton, while my mom spent one last day down in provo. monday the 11th i don't think we really did anything, other than my mom getting ready to go home. tuesday i made them help us get family pix taken... yeah that was a process! i'll post pix of that later (we got some pretty cute ones!). the rest of the day we just hung out at the mall, came home for naps, then we went out to dinner. it was fun, but i really didn't want my family to go. laynie really got attached to nicky and wouldn't leave him alone the whole night, it was pretty cute!

after they left, it was really boring in our house! laynie kept asking for nana, arik, and micky (that's what she calls nick). it was hard, and still is, but we'll get thru it!

well after my mom left, laynie and ky both decided to get colds. on thursday the 14th, nathaneil found out that his grandfather in pennsylvania had passed away. so all day saturday he was on the internet trying to find a decently priced plane ticket. he finally got one that afternoon, and he would be leaving monday night. we decided that, instead of leaving me home with 2 kids for 4 days, than would take laynie with him. well monday he goes to work (carpooling) only to find out that he gets 5 days bereavement, so he hopped on the train. we went to get him, and stopped at IHOP on the way home. well while we were there, laynie's lookin kinda funny. her eyes were all red and watery, and she didn't want any of her pancake (crazy!). sure enough, about 5 minutes later she spews all over her pancake! my poor girl gets this sickness WAY too often! now we weren't sure what was gonna happen. if she was still sick later that night, she obviously couldn't go flying across the country. but i didn't want to be home with 2 kids, and one of them sick. so we just played it by ear, and luckily she was feeling tons better by that night. she was so excited to go on the airplane, and than said she did really good! they got there in time for the funeral the next day (tuesday), and came back on thursday night. now everytime she sees or hears an airplane it's "airplane mommy, naynie's airplane!"
after they got back, we pretty much stayed home all weekend and just hung out and let them recuperate. i had than take monday (yesterday) off as his 5th day of bereavement, so he had a whole week of work off!! it was so much fun having him here.
and no, i'm still not completely caught up on pix, so i'll be posting again soon.
