an update... finally!

so, yeah... whoops! it's been quite awhile, once again, since my last post. so of course this one is gonna have a butt load of pictures!! lucky you! ok, so where to start. i guess i should do a little update on the little one growing inside of me, huh?! last time we went to the dr. was jan 15, we heard the little one's heart beat, so that was really fun! oh and the dr. said that we could get the big ultrasound next time we go in. well our next appt. is feb 12, so i was thinking it would be fun to have it done on valentine's day. but when i called to make the appt, they were booked up until the 21st. so thursday the 21st of february, make sure you check our blog to find out if we're having a girl or a boy!!! i've been having weird feelings tho, that this baby isn't going to let us see which gender it is. but hopefully i'm wrong. oh and i am now 17 weeks along, and finally feeling a bit better, so maybe i can be better about this blogging stuff! but probably not! anyway, so i don't really remember much else about that week. we did end up going to ikea and provo that saturday so that was a lot of fun. we got a new comforter and some little dishes for laynie. at my grandma's house we played brian's rockband!! it was soooooo much fun! nathaneil played the drums, brian guitar, and i sang, and it was a blast! i hope they make it for the wii!
not much happened at the beginning of this week. i did some visiting teaching, so laynie got to go play at brooklyn's house for a couple of hours. this last weekend was a lot of fun... we went up to rexburg friday morning, leaving about 6 am. we got there just in time for our tour of the new rexburg temple! it was gorgeous! i wish we were still living in rexburg, because it is beautiful. someday we'll get to go back and go through the temple again. on that note... President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away this evening, and we all are going to miss him. i know i loved him very much, and he was a great leader and prophet, but i also know that he is with his beloved wife once again. we love you Pres. Hinckley.
after our tour, we walked around campus for a little bit, and while than went back to get the car, i just happened to run into an old friend! my old fhe bro, konrad! it was so good to see him again. he graduates this semester and then will be going to medical school. he told me that another of our fhe bro's, eric anderson, had just gotten married... that was kind of a shock, seeings how he just got off his mission last summer! anyway after our walk of campus, we went to lunch at taco time, then headed down to pocatello. there we met up with nathan west, an old roommate of than's. then we went snowmobiling!! nathaneil was so excited to go, and i was too (at first!). well we finally get up there, get the snowmobiles going, got all dressed, and started out. my back was killing me after the first 2 minutes of riding! than was driving, then i sat behind him with laynie in between us. i was trying to hold us both up, but wasn't able to hold on very well, so needless to say, it wasn't the funnest thing for me. but laynie seemed to enjoy, so that was good. but it was sooooo cold out, and the wind made it 10 times worse, so they took us back to the car. they wanted to go on a real ride, so laynie and i stayed in the car and watched baby einstein's on the laptop. after that we went and got some dinner, then headed home. all in all it was a good day, but very long!
saturday i was really craving donuts, so we went to smiths and got a bunch. we got home, laynie took a nap, then i wanted to go swimming. so we quickly got ready, and got to swim for about an hour. at first laynie wasn't liking it (it's been quite some time since she's been swimming!), but she eventually came around. well then the waves came on, and that took some getting used to also! but when it was finally time to go, she did not want to leave! we'll have to go again soon. today was obviously church. i don't know if i mentioned this, but we now have 11:00 church, so i'm happy!! laynie looked adorable, as always, in her christmas dress. she goes to nursery, even tho she's not quite old enough. we stay in there with her until she's 18 months. she does pretty well and seems to enjoy it. ok, i think i've babbled and updated enough for one night!!
